Music has been my life for as long as I can remember. I started writing lyrics in 2nd grade, began recording my own songs in DAWs like FL Studio back in middle school, and have long wanted to release my own albums.

I chose the name Soft Lanterns because I want to embrace softness — it felt like a fitting name for my lo-fi projects. Then, halfway through making those, I found myself drawn to deep house, too.

I do sing, but I'm still far too shy about it, so starting with releasing lo-fi music has been easier — the imperfections are part of the beauty of it.
