Hi! I am Charlie Ocean, MSW, and I use they/them pronouns. You may have known me as Chris Angel Murphy, but my name has changed as of August 2023.
My background is in social work, tech, and LGBTQ+ community organizing. I provide quality LGBTQ+ training, speaking, consulting, and programming for Human Resources, DEI, ERGs, nonprofits, mental health practitioners, and businesses of all sizes.

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, I now live in Denver, CO. I started LGBTQ+ community organizing in the early 2000s and have been speaking and presenting about various topics ever since.
In 2009, I had the privilege of being the second-ever Outstanding Youth Leadership Honoree for LA Pride.
When you hire me, you get someone with professional and lived experience within the LGBTQ+ community. Some identities I proudly hold are neuroqueer, nonbinary, agender, queer, ADHD, autistic, and disabled.
Connecting people to resources is a passion of mine. I organize various online events, maintain a hub of national US LGBTQ+ resources, and produce resources to fill gaps. You can listen to my award-winning podcast, Allyship is a Verb.
